Despite some bad news, we had a pretty rad weekend. Er, at least a pretty rad Saturday. Jason had the day off. It felt like old times. We visited the free kids’ museum in Kalamazoo and walked around this beautiful park which I can never remember the name of. Every time we visit Kalamazoo, I want to move there. And it’s a college town, so it won’t be dying any time soon.
Oh, and Saturday morning our “special appointment” I didn’t want to jinx was to see this house for rent on Gillett’s Lake. We thought there might be a great possibility of us moving there. Turns out they want more money down than we thought (the sign says 2 weeks up front, but the lady that showed it said 2 months up front). Also, the house needs a LOT of work. We wondered if we fixed up the place ourselves, if we could rent-to-own or have the cost of upgrades taken off rent. But, I guess it wasn’t meant to be. It’s out of our price range by just a tiny little bit, and I don’t think they want to do the whole rent-to-own thing. Bummer.
Anyhow… here’s Saturday in photos.

The end. Here’s to a beautiful week – sunny skies and up to 75 degrees. Someone I know is going to be soaking up the sun this afternoon if I can’t book any photo sessions!
