Hello, blogging world.
I have attempted blogging outside of Myspace twice before. Both were very short-lived adventures. No one commented, I got bored, and I eventually forgot about wordpress altogether. Sorry, wordpress. It doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings for you. I regrettably admit that I don’t have much of interest to write about, but maybe my photography world will get a little busier and I’ll at least get to keep you informed on the happenings around Suite 202.
Oh, did I forget to mention that?
I have my own photography studio! It’s not much. I don’t even have any backdrops yet. It’s a room with a desk. I spent a week painting – one red wall, three green walls; handmade curtains (thanks mom!), and empty frames everywhere. If you know where the Blake Building is downtown, you know where I am. On the 2nd floor above Bead Culture (across from City Hall on Michigan Ave). There you go. Come visit me. I sit here by myself most days. I need some clients.
Business is very slow. I’m hoping to generate just enough to pay studio rent through the spring & summer. Unfortunately with the digital camera craze right now, everyone thinks they can buy a DSLR and instantly be a pro. Not a lot of people think they really need to go to a professional for photos anymore. I’m planning an open house for sometime late April or early May. You better come visit me. I’m sure I’ll be passing out goodies like coupons and maybe some dirt-cheap portraits for all walk-ins. Details later.
I suppose I’ll wrap up for now. I have a client stopping by after lunch and I’d like to scarf down some mandarin oranges before I clean this place up.
Thanks for reading.

I love that you have a new blog! And I love that you have a real live business office!! Omg..just wait. Senior Picture time will be here before you know it (when, like summer through fall? if i remember correctly) and as long as you can beat out the prices and borrring backgrounds of that popular place (vanworts?) then you could have some major business!
i am so happy for you and very excited for your new venture.

I’m so happy for you! We drove by the building the other day but didn’t get the chance to come up.
Hope to visit soon!
